Art & Music on the Farm

This wonderful community event is held annually on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend.  Cost:  $5/person.

Open from 10 am - 4 pm, the art and music festival draws over 1,200 people each year and features highly-acclaimed, award-winning bands from across Virginia playing a range of musical styles including bluegrass, folk, gospel, chantey and stringband.  In addition, the musicians hold intimate workshops throughout the day to provide participants a glimpse into their background, their inspiration and their art.

For art and garden lovers, we'll have over 50 talented artists and artisans as well as plants, flowers, food and drinks representing the best of the region.

Enjoy wine, flowers, art and music all in a beautiful setting!

BIC Annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser - SOLD OUT

Join us for our annual sell-out Oyster Roast Fundraising event - always held on the last Saturday in February! Support the BIC while mingling with new and old friends at the best party on the Eastern Shore! Feast on local Eastern Shore oysters and clams, clam chowder, roasted peanuts, pork barbecue, grilled chicken and sides, all in the comfort of a heated tent.

Tickets available to members beginning Jan 2 and to the public (and online) beginning Jan 23 until sold out. 

$75.00 per person; $15.00 for beer on tap or Chatham Vineyards wine (includes refills).

"Meet the Carvers" Reception and Exhibit

Featured carvers: Grayson Chesser, Cork McGee, Cameron McIntyre, Ian McNair, Dick Eddie Belote, P.G. Ross, Arthur Leonard, and Pete Peterson.

Come join us for a reception, exhibit, and casual conversations with some of Virginia’s finest carvers. These talented artists will have a range of their work on display and will also have some of their pieces for sale. Whether you are a dedicated collector, first-time buyer, sportsman or just curious about decoy carving, you will not want to miss this evening of wine, hors d’oeuvres, art, traditions and stories. 

Cost: $50 per person. Limited tickets are available beginning September 1st.
