Community Meetings and events
The BIC is pleased to allow the use of the facility by outside groups for meetings, educational events and private functions, as outlined in our Facility Use Policy (see button above). The policy and fee structure give preference to community groups aligned with our goal to make the Eastern Shore a better place to live. In many cases, the Facility Use Fees are either greatly reduced or waived for such community groups.
Please note that the BIC is able to accommodate groups of up to 50 for seated events, or up to 100 for cocktail/standing events. We are no longer able to host events - weddings, luncheons, showers, rehearsal dinners - for groups of more than 100 people (except for our own BIC Events, including the Oyster Roast and Art & Music on the Farm).
The Beazley Community Room in the newly renovated Education Building allows flexible options for table and chair set-up, integrated AV equipment, and is handicap accessible.
The Museum Building and the Education Building are also available for small private functions.
For more information, including fees and facility use application, please review our Facility Use Policy (button at top of page).
